Now I hear that the compressor is not working optimally, because it "stumbles" or clouds the sound; especially as far as element no. 5 from the left is concerned.

Qui showed me a far better way to achieve the same effect as with the Drum Editor with FX Compression, but I don't think this feature is available on the Pa700.

Here is what Qui wrote:
"But in the pa5x you can even go a lot further (not sure if this was possible on the other models), you can set in the mixer the insert effects per drum instrument group and you can even send the send fx levels per drum element group . For instance, you want a dub delay or reverb on the snare only for your complete drum set, that can be done in the mixer tab. It's quite hard to find how to do it, but the editing possibilities are absolutely insane once you dive into it."


I have found that it is primarily element no. 5 that causes the cloudy sound - perhaps it is best to avoid changing the value of this when using Drum Editor in addition to Compressor.
