You might think it’s quite drastic, but following the tutorial from Qui using the Eq as an insert effect, I thought I would start with a clean slate for my keyboard sets.
Once I’ve found the sound(s) I wish to use in my Keyboard Sets I’m now using the Eq insert which I wish to use as the lead sound.
You kind of have to be create as you only have the one insert effect on the lower and upper sounds, but you can still use the 3 band Eq in the mixer tuning screen for the other sounds (if your using them).
But using this process allows to focus on specific frequencies that may need boosting or cutting.
Prior to adding any effects to my keyboard set I now save a completely dry version.
