Korg Pa700 Capital Soul Style Drum Edit - musicalmemoriesuk - 06-22-2023 Following the posts by both Chello and Robinez I have used the drum editor to edit the Capital Should Style on Korg Pa700. Here is version A No Editing Here is Version B Let me know what you think ? RE: Korg Pa700 Capital Soul Style Drum Edit - Chello - 06-22-2023 @Musical Memories ![]() You have found it. Welcome to my world. Go ahead and you have a new keyboard.
RE: Korg Pa700 Capital Soul Style Drum Edit - musicalmemoriesuk - 06-22-2023 Only thing with this as the style track is now louder, will the sounds you play with your lower and upper sounds be edited to make sure everything is balanced. So other sounds are now drowned out by the style? After all, drums get a higher output than before, which requires a little upward adjustment of your lower and upper sounds. However, I do not find this problematic. If you also use FX effects, the difference between style and lower and upper sounds becomes much greater than with Drum Editor alone. RE: Korg Pa700 Capital Soul Style Drum Edit - musicalmemoriesuk - 06-22-2023 Version b was just using the stereo compressor on the drum track RE: Korg Pa700 Capital Soul Style Drum Edit - Chello - 06-22-2023 (06-22-2023, 06:51 PM)musicalmemoriesuk Wrote: Version b was just using the stereo compressor on the drum track I should have realized you were using Stereo Compressor and not Drum Editor. An early senior moment. I hear it now. If you use Drum Editor in addition, this must always be used BEFORE Compressor, because compressors work with outputs. The effect of Compressor becomes quite different and much more powerful when using Drum Editor in addition. For the pa5x users, you can lower the output level of the style also in the finalizer tab, there you see an option called gain, just lower that value. One thing that could be improved in your version is the bass sound which is a little bit muddy, so you could easily solve this with a minor Gain drop in an EQ with a small Q factor around that problem area. RE: Korg Pa700 Capital Soul Style Drum Edit - musicalmemoriesuk - 06-22-2023 I can cut the mid frequency in the mixer tuning Eq gain screen ? Regarding the insert effects on the Korg Pa700 and Pa1000 I thnk you are limited to two insert effects on styles and one on the lower and upper tracks. So you have to be resourceful. I would be interested to know if similar results could be achieved on the drum tracks of the tyros 4, by using the insert effects. Do you use this process on your Genos ? No means of adding an Eq effect on the bass track |
