Here is a demo of how a single Brush Pad can affect a style - the effect is formidable.

The demo plays variation 1 without the pad, with the pad and without the pad.

I have taken a variation from a style, and made a pad from it.

The Drum Editor is used to mute all drum elements except the Snare.

Having played in two different bands there is no doubt in my mind that the 'brush' action is the most important sound to hear from a drummer. One of my granddaughters invested in a drum kit and took lessons on how to play them. Playing with 'sticks' was all she ever did. Eventually I bought her some 'brushes' so she could accompany me when I played the piano.

It's all about the music!

Brush has always had a special effect on me, and really good recordings of Brush are very hard to find.

The best ones I have are from the 60s.

With the Pa5X I can make them myself, because the samples Korg uses are State of the Art.
