NEW WAY TO CREATE STYLES
I got the idea for a new project - with Pa5X many things can be done that were previously impossible with earlier models.
Creating styles from midi has always been my preferred way, but getting all the tracks to work optimally has always been a problem; there is almost always a track that produces unwanted harmonies as a result of this having to be done in Neutral mode.
So the question becomes:
What is the most important thing about a style ?
That drums and bass work.
Bass works best when this is done in Playback mode.
The bass's melody line is what, more than anything else, determines how a style will turn out.
What if I create a style with only drums and bass ?
Then everything will work optimally.
Then I can paste in desired riffs from existing Korg styles where this fits, and VOILA !
With this method, almost anything can be used to get the style you want.
The most likely goal will be to create simple blues and jazz styles, which there is very little of today for newer models.
