ARE MY EARS MORE SENSITIVE THAN NORMAL ?

I have now been working on EQ adjustments almost every day for 17 months.
There has been a strange development along the way in terms of how many dB are needed to hear a significant difference.

I find that as little as 1dB makes a clear difference - in the entire frequency range from the lowest to the highest..?

Perhaps this is due to the Pa5X's exceptionally efficient filters; I have to assume so, because this doesn't apply to music otherwise.

We have both experienced our hearing improvements which hopefully will help towards our aging.

A good example is asking someone to describe what they hear when a fan is on:
They hear the fan sound, they say.
I say I hear 4 sounds...

You know what I mean, but few others do.
