MY SONG STYLES DO NOT FOLLOW THE "NORM"

MY SONG STYLES DO NOT FOLLOW THE "NORM"

If you're looking for a song style that sounds exactly like the original, you won't find this one among my creations.

The reason is simple:
I can't bear to copy what already exists - I want to create something new and different.

I see no point in creating a song style that is identical to the original, no matter how good the original may be.
I also can't stand "Elvis clones" - Elvis became famous not because he copied someone else, but because he was himself.
He was unique, while his copies will forever appear mediocre.

That's not to say that I don't draw inspiration from others, but I try to do this MY way.
I leave MY fingerprint.

Thank you for your supportive comment.
I know you have the same opinion as me, but it's always nice to have things confirmed.

There are often several alternative tracks to use, and then I always choose the ones I like best.
This is actually easy to compensate for by using pads in addition, and I intend to make pads later.

I intend to make many different things later.

I couldn't agree more, copying an original track is just work and quite boring to do. When I play existing songs I always experiment with alternate chord structures, other arrangements and sounds. Same applies for the song styles I create. I keep the original recognisable parts and then I modify a lot.

Just like the Stevie Wonder - higher ground style in my favorites tutorial, I've used the original parts of the clavs and played all kind of extra parts on top of it (like the brass sounds)

Thanks for an interesting comment.

We all, no matter how professional we are, have our own special signature.
Many musicians are not aware of this. Too many strive to copy great musicians, and forget to develop themselves and their own signature.

One of the things I like best is composing, I can use, for example, a complex song, and extract sequences from anywhere and thus create a completely new style that can be very different from the source song.

I have huge amounts of midi files, and these are an eternal source of inspiration for new styles.
