Music Notation program wanted free

Musescore seems to be taking over the notation world! It's really popular, I'll have to try it.... I've been reading some of the forum comments and v3 seemed to be preferred over v4, but maybe those bugs are sorted out by now. Is it OK for getting notation from midi like Notation Composer did?

I still have an old copy of BIAB (from a friend of a friend), the one with Comic Sans font, I've not used it in years so not sure if it'll work. It might. Let us know what you think of JJazzLab when you have an opinion.

aprilla. The reason I liked early version of BIAB was for its excellent clear A4 Lead Sheet Prints.

JJazzLab it appears to be mainly for producing backing tracks which I no longer do.
