Interesting Topic,I work with a technician and see first hand build quality and sound quality of different products.
The one that shocked me was a Nord stage 4, The sound quality is excellent the keybed surprisingly not so.
However the insides were 3 circuit board and the keybed is highly influenced by how much you tighten the screws.
Now this where i got the biggest shock, the distortion toggle was broken and consists of a small piece of metal and spring.
Nord wont supply the part, even under warranty you have to send it at a cost of £90 to their hub and they use one technician who works wednesday.
You can however order the toggle switch at a cost of £300 unbelivable
