Addition....If the Mouse is now working...You can stop Windows Update changing it again.
In SEARCH type Advanced System Settings.
Top of page select HARDWARE.
There are 2 options. Select the lower one Device Installation Settings to keep Mouse Driver as it is.
Apply & OK.

General Win11 Updates.
In my case I only allow Win11 to update security.
I don't want Microsoft throwing additions I have not asked for !!!
