UNEXPLANABLE PC EVENT - Chello - 06-11-2026

UNEXPLANABLE PC EVENT

I just tested my new mini PC, and everything worked as it should automatically, which is rare, because mouse and keyboard (Logitec) almost never work automatically on a new PC.
The AUNE dac's driver also worked as it should, which is very unusual.

However, when I put the Logitec receivers back into my normal PC, something happened that I can't explain:

The mouse didn't work, and it took me a while to get it working, but now it doesn't work with setting 1 which is always the only one that has worked - I had to use setting 3, which has never worked before.

I haven't touched any settings before this happened; only used the receivers with the new PC.

Very sick.

Chello. This normally works for me.
On Win11 Right Click START.
Select device Manager.
In device Manager select open Mouse & Pointing Devices.
Now double Click Compliant Mouse (Not Mouse Pad)
Page opens Select Driver & options select uninstall.
Now with your normal Mouse connected...
You will now need use the PC Mouse Pad to restart PC

Thanks for the reminder.
I mention the reminder because this is a procedure I always use otherwise, but I forgot about it in this case.  25

I recently had a similar case when I tried to install a midi controller, which resulted in my Capture software not working because its system files were being used by the midi controller - but when I uninstalled the midi controller and reinstalled Capture, it worked as it should.

I have also found the likely (only possible) reason why the mouse was not working:
The keyboard also had a changed layout, meaning the USB receivers have stored that they were used on another device that had a different layout by default (my mini PC was pre-installed from the manufacturer, but incorrectly configured for my language).
