Test of Aripearlmusic Drum Kits

⚖Aripearlmusic has been extremely accommodating and helpful, sending me 6 drum kits for testing.

He has also, on his own initiative, given me a lot of information about how these are made, which is of great help for my use of them.

All the kits are State of the Art, and outperform everything I have previously tested; both from Korg and Global Sound.

I will soon make some demos to demonstrate what these are capable of, and they cover many genres.

I have now tested the 6 drum kits borrowed for testing, and have bought them all.

I have tested them with different styles within several genres, and they work very well for most popular genres, but especially well for Funk & Blues, Rock and Dance.
In fact even better for styles I have created from midi with Style Works as well as converted styles.

I have done some editing with Drum Editor, as some drum elements need to be muted, which is quite normal for drum kits from another manufacturer; much like SF2.

Primarily I use them with another kit, largely because they don't have Ambience, which I add with the internal kit.
They provide a punch and dynamics that I've previously only found on (very few) kits from SF2.

I find the kits very useful for my use, and they can really be recommended for those who have the knowledge to customize them, which is always to be expected.

Something I have already discovered is that these drum kits work exceptionally well with styles I have created from midi with Style Works, such as Chello's Bluesy.

It has been almost impossible to find a kit that suited this style, until I found your SLINGERLAND.

It will be fun to give my own creations new life; I have hundreds of ready-made styles I have created from midi, and over 10,000 that I have also created that need to be adapted to the Pa5X.

the first was funky but the drums were crisp

Thanks for the requested feedback, and for making me aware of something that could be improved.

I agree - the first one is a bit too crisp, and has a bit too high level on some drum elements.
I also like the second one the best.
