Only sets from Pa4X are compatible with Pa5X, and these must be 100% original to work 100%.

Almost every set I've tested, contains errors which means that much is not installed.
This is because someone has made changes that do not follow the standard layout.

However, all styles from previous Pa models (with few exceptions) can be installed, but this requires you to use the new file structure, which I have described in a "How to do".

Sounds are far worse, and I haven't been able to install any, even though I know this is possible.
I'm waiting for a tutorial from Qui Robinez that shows how to import KMP sounds.

Yes i find out it means korg is complete new with there structuur that is why it not works  But Vor voices it is ok with me the sounds insite the are perfect i dont need sounds from the past

But the korg wow he sound amazing and so as you say so much better as Genos  he sound i think the same as Kronos  so good the sounds are

and you know what to make sounds in the Pa5x  every style there are i think 600 insite the sounds the make with the keyboard set  i test them with style the make sometimes really beautiful voice and so as you say with the right effeckts and everyting very special

every song have 4 differend sounds voices that karg make by every style i must say wow wow wow

This instrument blows every yamaha keyboard away even Genos is blow away because of the Pa 5x  i really not have believe it but i am happy i listen to you Mr Chello the sounds are really amazing My Wave state wow feels himself zo happy with Korg pa5x

I must learn to work with it but so as you say i have it now 10 months and still you must learn some things wow i love the sounds of that instrument this is were i am looking for in a instrument

The perfect Aranger  and i think this is the perfect Arranger for me i love it but in the begin i was really scepties about the korg but now i play o it i say wow top top top

Now you think like I do.
The only sounds I'm not really happy with are overdrive and distortion guitars.

Of course, you can never have enough drum kits either, no matter how good they are - when you create styles from midi you always need more.
This also applies to basses, but to a lesser extent.

In any case, I have original disks for OASYS and Kronos2 that I can get sounds from, and convert to KMP.

Program sounds can be converted to KMP, and thus used on the Pa5X.

In fact, Combis can also be "converted", but I think this is a cumbersome process that very few people know how to do.
I previously found many styles for Yamaha, which were made from Roland Combies, and these are the best I have ever heard; just like Kronos.

Maybe I should ask Qui Robinez if he knows the answer to this...

Question Mr Chello, when i save my styles en sets in songbook . can i let play the style , and take than a other songbook set but the Style keeps playing he not change from the song book file before

The same as By Genos you can let play the style but you can choose other instruments out of a other song book set of is that not possibble ?????????

A view days i am the happy owner of a Korg pa5x  .

I think the structuur wil be the same but it is really not easy to understand , but it is what i always say have you a new keyboard .
learn so fast as possible   how your keyboards work but wow it is not so easy i must really work from the bottom  .

The most styles in the korg have no reverb or delay in the style and that are the effects i like the most in my music but wow a lot of work will come

Every style or sound need som reverb or delay,

But it is really not as the pax series before complete new structuur

But i will com ok it wil take some time but i wil find out how it will work

I was looking what for files are there in this keyboard . and wow a complete surprise A really big surprise. this keyboard is not only a pa5x no no no.
Mr Sjoerd have install all the types keyboard insite my korg Pa5x

he is a pa 80 pa 50

al the files sounds styles are now in my Korg pa5x

he told me when he bring it yesterday we have install big surprises in your keyboard you will see it when you are busy in the Pa5x

I've also bought my pa5x at dacapo and I got the same setup, it's insane how much value is added to that standard installation. Also the Wersi organs with their custom samples, the Helios ones, all the custom pads with their own samples, the HUGE amount of songs in the songbook (much more then the standard installation), and so on.

There are two things you need to change in that setup, there is a default cutoff of the complete sound at 81 hz in that installation and also all the reverb sounds are added with a value of 25 by default. This is because this is the image of the demonstrator and he uses it that way. But it's easy to modify. Do the following:

change the reverb offset
- press the setting button
- press the general controls tile
- on top in the basic section you see a value of 25 at the reverb offset amount
- change this to 0
(now you have a full range again from 0 till 100 on the reverb settings, which you want)

change the 81hz cutoff
- press the settings button
- press the menu button
- press the waves tile
- now you see that a preset is selected called Low Cut 81Hz
- change this to a preset you like, for instance Boost (this is done rather good on the pa5x
(now all the sounds are played again including everything below 81hz, personally i do a little cut on 40hz, but i will post a tutorial later this month with some measured new settings)

These things are only for you, because other buyers don't have this specific image.

But if you bought it from sjoerd then that probably means that you are living nearby my studio, or do I know you in person?

Your expertise is of invaluable help, and your recommendations to change the reverb offset from 25 to 0 as well as the Low Cut from 81Hz to eg 40Hz fit well with my own experiences.
