its true what you say James,
People either don`t participate or criticize in my experience. The people who want the conversation usually don`t use face book or social media.
If you are to believe the members, they don`t have any content to share and because of negativity don`t post there recordings.
Now I am also in a caravan and motorhome club and the difference is unbelievable, new members get 100s of likes any questions are usually answered and recommendations are also well received.
Its been a question ive failed to get too grips with
Ive had a few ideas but haven`t had the motivation to follow through.

For me it’s quite important to have people that you can bounce ideas off that are a little beyond the beginners level.
This forum and Chello is one of the very few places that do without being patronising.
I always have ideas like in my previous post about the songbook, but a part from here zero response.
I noticed your post about reviewing paid styles from a number of providers.
Thing I’ve learned even though motivation is not great, just do what you’re going to do put it out there Job done move onto the next thing.
I will though revisit styles or keyboard sets If I’ve learned something new and then try to apply to my library.
For me it’s really important to build up a library of sounds or sound combinations when you first get a new arranger, yes after time you might wipe the slate clean and start again but it’s good to have resources at hand.
Funny thing is I pretty much got my Tyros4 and Pa700 at the same time, when someone mentioning no name was singing the praises for Korg but now gone to the other side. He said ‘You have a Tyros4 as well’ I said yeah as if to say well Tyros4 is old now.
Well for I right back when I had a Psr9000 which sadly went to keyboard heaven I always wanted a Tyros but like a lot of people it was even then way beyond my budget.
But when my father passed away in 2017 I finally got the chance to get a Tyros4 but was I bad got the Pa700 as well which had then just been released.
Yes the Tyros4 and probably now the Pa700 when it gets replaced by a newer model but there is more than enough to keep me occupied always something to work on.
At the end of the day doesn't matter what make or model of arranger(s) you own which is a point I put accross he and my groups just have fun and enjoy what you do.

@Musical Memories
You and I and Colin actually have a lot in common.
One of the really essential things about a forum is that members are given the opportunity to express their opinions without being patronized.
And your keyboards may not be brand new, but they still meet the expected standard.
Or more ?
Industrial development does not necessarily contribute to better products, because its golden age (50s to 80s) has long passed; now it's about making sure that a product is the best possible and lasts the shortest possible time (read: warranty period) because the manufacturer must first and foremost make money - at our expense.
Very little has happened in the development of keyboards in the last 40 years.
The next really big thing will be the launch of MIDI 2.0, which will turn upside down the quality assessment of everything that is made; regardless of price.
When this launch will take place is impossible to predict with today's troubled situation - perhaps it won't happen at all.
All your keyboards are classics that should be kept no matter what happens.

@Chello
As far as I am aware, MIDI 2 HAS been launched. Trouble is, it'll probably take the keyboard industry another ten years to implement it into any instrument.
The implications of v2 are vast compared to what has been around for 30 years or more.
I have "fiddled" with MIDI since it started but never really had the time to fully explore it. Now I'm getting on in years, I simply can't be bothered.
I look on this site most days, however with the way things are at the moment moneywise, I can only dream of a new Arranger for the next 2-3 years.
I really admire the way you knuckle down to solving "glitches".
I haven't even turned on my T5, since July. Sad to say, I did 2 gigs one day after the other (in July) and got some VERY negative feedback from the audiences, and my partner about my playing techniques. I thought I was there to play a concert, but NO, they wanted a Karaoke machine....
Demanded I play ALL FIVE VERSES ( or however many ) of all the tunes I played. I refused, saying I'm only booked to play 30 minutes, so want to show my skills by playing a variety genre.
