To be honest I really dont think a lot of new technolgy has been added. Admittedly this is only showing some features but if thats 6 years worth of progress since Genos 1 I thought they could have done better. 

Im sure a lot who buy arranger keyboards like this and other makes never really make use of all the features so some of it would be redundant but we all like it to sound nice which also depends on your speaker system.

Style Creator on Tyros1 can also do that..?



I must say that Genos 2 does not appear as I expected, and the layout is as terrible as before; it is reminiscent of the Medeli AKX-10.



And quite frankly:
Several of the sounds sound absolutely terrible, plus the mixing is still as miserable as before.

UK release price £4999 plus speakers - not cheap.
Korg pa5x prices have dropped in UK !

I noticed one particular thing when Harris used the rotary potentiometer to adjust the Style Dynamic Control from min to max - he couldn't use the Style Dynamic Control correctly - he had to split the min to max adjustment into 3 steps.

When HE has problems with this, WE will have even bigger problems.
I have long argued that rotary potentiometers are unsuitable for LIVE use, and especially if you have to turn all the way to achieve the effect.

I also can't help but notice the many negative reactions; but this is understandable, because they react the way I do.

* NO tiltable screen
* NO larger screen
* The graphics and layout are just as terrible as before
* Display strip too small for potentiometers
* A lot of effects that require sliders have been added to the rotary potentiometers
* No new color LEDs..?

I'm glad I bought the Pa5X - none above, none beside, and certainly not Genos 2.

And then the price £4999, im in shock without speakers and a p/x likely to be less than £2k

I stand by my previous statement, unless this is far better in the flesh, this will be the last top end arranger.

Korg must be breathing a massive sigh of relief ,a few upgrades and ios and your 2k better off

Absolutely.
With this stunt, Yamaha has finally lost the race against Korg, and the world is about to realize how good the Pa5X actually is.

I have see different demos of the new Genos 2 i really dont know what i must think of it

It makes me confused  , i really not hear the same quality as my Korg pa5x

For now i say go back to Yamaha , for now i say really no

I hear noting special  , what i have see and hear a complete disappointment

And second he looks the same as The Genos 1 really no new model
But also The whole tyros serie looks almost the same



I have listen to the sound but for me really not the same quality as the Pa5x the pa5x sound much better , 

For now i say no i stay with my korg, and i not know of the yamaha is the keyboard for me first i must read and listen to many Demos

Now i will not order one 

I think a disappointment the same as Genos 1  


I hope i am wrong but what i have see , no i love my korg More and also Chello think the same as me

But ho knows maybe  i will change my mint   But for now i hold myself back and not order one

A little side step from the excitement of the release of the new genos.

If there is something I have learned particularly recently with my projects with reverb, In case of digital audio workstations the tendency I to get all the plug ins you can. But a question and topic that comes up from a lot of you tube channels is that have you used the plugins that come with your daw. Rather than have 100s of effect plugins learn one inside and out until you know how to use it off by heart.

What’s this got to do with the release of the Genos, will all the people that move from the 1 to the 2 have done just that learned the Genos 1 inside and out?
