@Musical Memories
In fact, this is one of the first things I try to achieve with a new instrument.
I have never been completely satisfied; the closest I've come is with the Yamaha A-3000 (with SF2) and DGX-670.
I also have to use Cubase for these two, which was way too labor intensive.
Yesterday I experienced for the first time being completely satisfied,
and that without using SF2 or Cubase.
Pa5X is the only arranger that has managed this out of the close to 30 I have had in the last 25 years.
By using the Drum Editor as well as the Style Editors Expression, the sound is in the sweetspot; the dynamic experience of drums and bass is quite like with Kronos, which is the absolute best I've had.
Theoretically, this fits well, because the sounds on the Pa5X are taken from the Kronos and Nautilus as well as the SV-2.
What's really special about Pa5X is that it's easier than ever to make the necessary edits - it's done in a few minutes for each style - the alternative has previously been Cubase, which requires all your time.
Never more Cubase for me - Pa5X is perfectly fine.
I am now editing all internal styles, and this is like a night and day experience.
