Finding That Sweetspot In An Arranger - musicalmemoriesuk - 04-28-2023 Have you ever found that sweetspot in an Arranger you’ve owned and spent a lot of time working on. When everything fits into place and you get the sound just as you want it to be. RE: Finding That Sweetspot In An Arranger - Chello - 04-29-2023 @Musical Memories In fact, this is one of the first things I try to achieve with a new instrument. I have never been completely satisfied; the closest I've come is with the Yamaha A-3000 (with SF2) and DGX-670. I also have to use Cubase for these two, which was way too labor intensive. Yesterday I experienced for the first time being completely satisfied, and that without using SF2 or Cubase. Pa5X is the only arranger that has managed this out of the close to 30 I have had in the last 25 years. By using the Drum Editor as well as the Style Editors Expression, the sound is in the sweetspot; the dynamic experience of drums and bass is quite like with Kronos, which is the absolute best I've had. Theoretically, this fits well, because the sounds on the Pa5X are taken from the Kronos and Nautilus as well as the SV-2. What's really special about Pa5X is that it's easier than ever to make the necessary edits - it's done in a few minutes for each style - the alternative has previously been Cubase, which requires all your time. Never more Cubase for me - Pa5X is perfectly fine. I am now editing all internal styles, and this is like a night and day experience. PA5X FOREVER
RE: Finding That Sweetspot In An Arranger - musicalmemoriesuk - 04-29-2023 I’ve finally found I’m at that point with my Pa700 (With absolutely no help from Korg). RE: Finding That Sweetspot In An Arranger - Chello - 04-29-2023 @Musical Memories I've finally found I'm at that point with my Pa700 (With absolutely no help from Korg). I understand that, because NO ONE else, even in double the price range, can offer so many advanced functions so well mixed together. The Pa700 is in a class of its own. Fortunately, we Korg users are up-and-coming individuals who do not need help from a company that has completely forgotten its customers. |
