A LITTLE ABOUT THE FUTURE

A LITTLE ABOUT THE FUTURE

Most people probably want to achieve the same sound on their keyboard that is found on Kronos.
Most people think (and claim) that this is impossible.
Most people also think that such a sound can only be approached by using special samples / sounds together with a lot of extra equipment connected to a keyboard that has max RAM.

ALL THIS IS WRONG.

I have found a way to expand all parameters with a special program, and by loading this into a DAW, I can use everything found by Sound Fonts to manipulate the sound to Kronos level; actually higher: 32 bit / 192kHz.

All sounds in a style from any model can be replaced with sounds from Sound Fonts - all keyboards actually work via already built-in Sound Fonts.
By expanding the parameters of a style, it is possible to achieve superb sound even on a cheap keyboard, something I plan to get started with.

My idea is to do something no one has done so far:
To offer Kronos sound on almost all Yamaha models.

There are many that offer styles for some models they claim are specially adapted, but these use all sounds that must be integrated on the keyboard's RAM, which limits the quality dramatically.

My way is not dependent on RAM, as everything is built into the style itself, and a quality that is otherwise impossible can be achieved.

it will be interesting to see the results chello.

I have recently seen people putting live guitars into styles however i doubt the time and effort matches the flexibility of the styles.

Other companies like sample algorhythmn who use live performers but the cost is prohibitive.

Hope the samples wont use much memory as i was sent a sample file set that was almost useless due to the sample size

@Colin

Putting live guitars into styles I consider a derailment, and the job is only partial anyway, because other instruments remain the same.
Ketron has been doing this for a long time, but I have never been happy with the result achieved.

My styles work in a completely different way than traditional, because the memory is not affected - everything is stored in the style itself; it uses samples that are in your keyboard, but utilizes these better than internal styles, because all parameters are extended in the style itself and refers to other samples that thus do not have to be on the keyboard.
I'll try to make a better explanation later.

My styles (also the ones I have made so far) will sound different from model to model, because internal samples are different.
That's exactly why I make a demo for each style, so that everyone can hear how they sound on DGX.

I use my DGX as a synthesizer with DAW, and thus I can guarantee the result for all DGX-670, while the result will be different for eg Genos.
