Test of Aripearlmusic sounds - Part 2

Test of Aripearlmusic sounds - Part 2

⚖Aripearlmusic has sent me a bunch of new sounds for testing - 1.5 GB.

He has also offered to tailor the sound I want to my needs, or instruct me on how to do this myself.

19
Can it get better ?

I thus have the opportunity to test all sounds before I eventually buy any, and avoid having to buy a bunch of sounds that I am not satisfied with.

As if this were not enough, I get a very good discount on the ones I buy.

I can already see that the drum kits I have bought (and first tested) constitute a fantastic upgrade of my styles from midi made with Style Works, which is of the utmost importance for my work with developing styles from midi - I have thousands of my own developed styles ready to be used with these drum kits.

Moreover, I experience something that is extremely important to notice:
The joy of playing has reached a new level - almost all of my self-developed styles are now insane to play, which is a clear indication that these drum kits together with an internal one provide more punch and authenticity than the internal ones do alone.

One more thing:
When I check with Drum Editor which EQ edits have been made, these are mostly identical to my own choices, which cannot be said about Korg or Global Sound's drum kits; Korg has underfocused, while Global Sound has overfocused.

The test will start during today, and demos will be presented.

Thats great it might be nice if he demonstrated a few sounds he likes.

Im also going to do a few comparisons on korg vs Genos with strong styles to make it fair, whats amazing is how good some styles are, yet within the same set how bad others are.
Their is aa richness in korg styles that seem to have more of everything, whereas the yamaha has crisper but somehow less resonant.
Its no wonder why these have polorising supporters.

I love both but makes developing registrations difficult because im so used to yamaha format, and remembering the process of getting the best sounds.

He has given me a bunch of his favorites, and everything I demonstrate hopefully gives a fair picture of them.

My experience with Korg vs Genos is that Korg has a lot of effects, but also a lot of hidden ones, which can be activated as needed.

Genos has everything activated, so it's easy to think that Genos is better.

What is what changes the moment you create your own mix and Korg appears to be the clear best, because if too many effects are activated like with Genos, mixing becomes very difficult.

Korg mixes more correctly when they choose to put effects latent, because mixing is much easier to do in a predictable way this way.

WOW!

11 extra drum kits in this pack, and these are even better, and even more usable.

I experience a joy of playing that I have rarely experienced before - most musicians have probably experienced rare moments of engagement, where they surpass themselves.

This is how I feel now - all the time.

Demos will follow soon.

I have now tested 11 drum kits borrowed for testing.

I have tested them with different styles within several genres, and they work very well for most popular genres, but especially well for Funk & Blues, Rock and some jazz.
In fact even better for styles I have created from midi with Style Works as well as converted styles.

I have done some editing with Drum Editor, as some drum elements need to be muted, which is quite normal for drum kits from another manufacturer; much like SF2.

Primarily I use them with another kit, largely because they don't have Ambience, which I add with the internal kit.
They provide a punch and dynamics that I've previously only found on (very few) kits from SF2.

I find the kits very useful for my use, and they can really be recommended for those who have the knowledge to customize them, which is always to be expected.

The latest demo is extremely difficult to play - I took it without practicing a bit, so there were some mistakes along the way.

Next test will contain styles from Aripearlmusic.
