WHY GET A DIPLOMA ?

I came up with a funny story from when I was 23 years old and had just started my own company.
Everyone recommended that I take a course at Norwegian Sales Development, because I had no experience as a salesperson.
This was also what the authorities wanted - they were very skeptical of companies like mine.

I booked a course, which cost about 300 US Dollars and lasted 3 full days and was held a couple of miles from where I lived.

The participants were given a folder containing the syllabus of the course, and the speaker began the lesson.
The participants were constantly asked questions, and many raised their hands, but almost always gave the wrong answer.

I also raised my hand, but was often asked last - and I had the right answer - every time.

This repeated itself throughout the course, and I stopped raising my hand, because I wanted to give the others the opportunity to answer.

As time went on, no one raised their hand, while everyone looked at me, and the speaker said that I might have an answer..?

Why are you here anyway, the speaker asked - you know all the answers..!
I wondered this too; money straight out the window..?

I got my diploma anyway, which the others did too, even though they never should have gotten it.
