PSYCHO ACOUSTIC PHENOMENA
I've talked about this before, but I find it interesting to mention it again.
Now that I've been working on making pads for a while, I experienced the phenomenon again:
Bass Drums become unrecognizable when you mutate all other drum elements in a kit - all life disappears.
More than ever, it becomes clear how much influence elements have on each other.
So a Bass Drum Pad without other elements appears lifeless, but the moment you also use a pad with Snare Drum or Hi-Hat together with this, life comes back.
It happens exactly the same as with effects and EQ - everything affects each other.
That's exactly why I'm convinced that I'm on the right track - to reduce the number of effects and EQ.
The Pa5X has too many active effects and too heavy use of EQ according to my HiFi point of view.
By reducing the number of effects and EQ, I believe that the Pa5X appears more HiFi than any other.
