ONGOING TEST OF PA5X STYLE CREATOR BOT (SCB) - COMPLETED

My test of the Style Creator Bot for the Pa5X is now complete.


CONCLUSION:
SCB must be said to be a significant improvement from the one on the Pa4X, because it is actually capable of creating very good styles from time to time.

It is a condition that high quality midi (or karaoke) files are used, but the result is still very variable, because midi is a complex language - when tempo and harmonies become too complex, SCB is unable to give correct values, which is completely understandable - NO software can do this, and AI must be made much more intelligent before this can become a reality.


I have tested several hundred midi files, and have achieved 20 styles of good quality, which must be said to be very good.

The MultiPads are mostly quite well composed, while the Keyboard Sets are of average quality with too little variation.

SCB adjusts all levels automatically, and this works surprisingly well.

Transpositions are very often made incorrectly in Intro 1 and Ending 1, and it is not always possible to correct these with Pa5X.

MEL tracks are often included in Variations, which makes a style unusable if this track is not removed.


All in all, SCB can be said to be a useful tool that works very well sometimes, but many users will certainly create many styles that do not work as they should, and thus perhaps result in SCB getting a bad reputation that it does not deserve.
