IS THE PA5X ABOUT TO EXCEED ITS LIMITS ?

I have experienced for a long time that various functions take longer than before to complete, and in the worst case, everything freezes.
Other functions work faster than before, which may indicate that resources are poorly distributed among the functions.

And here I am talking about basic functions; not advanced ones.
Playing a style together with an Mp3 vocal must be considered a basic function.

Yesterday I played a bit like this, and afterwards I put the keyboard in file transfer mode to/from computer, as I often do, because I had made a few recordings.

The keyboard was in this mode overnight without turning off, also as I often do.
When I tried to put it back to normal mode today, the screen stopped working - no functions on the screen worked.
The buttons worked, and I could play, but the screen was locked in file transfer view.

After several minutes the display changed, and after even more minutes it changed again.
Everything finally became normal, but this took several minutes, while it should happen immediately.
By the way, the Pa5X HAD to be restarted, because the midi driver did not show in Style Works and thus no sound.


Many reported bugs are probably not bugs at all, because the user rarely waits several minutes for changes when the screen has locked, but restarts instead.

I am more and more convinced that most problems (bugs) are due to incorrect allocation of resources, and that the hardware is actually undersized in relation to the tasks, because there are not enough resources to perform them.

Now that Korg is constantly adding new resources, the problem will probably only increase.


Maybe it is time for them to think like programmers do, and offer the user to choose which functions he will have when the OS is loaded..?

If I had had this opportunity, I could have adapted the keyboard to my needs and omitted functions I will never use, and freed up resources for functions I actually use.

If Korg doesn't address this issue in time, the Pa5X risks becoming as slow as Korg Forums, where it takes 15 to 30 seconds to open a page, while it should have taken less than 200 milliseconds..!
