9000 PRO TEST PROGRAM..?



This has to be the stupidest thing I've ever seen on a keyboard in my life:

To start the test program, the DEMO, EXIT and INTRO A buttons must be held down, while the power switch is turned ON.

I only have two hands, and these are occupied with DEMO, EXIT and INTRO A.
How am I supposed to turn on the power switch, without help from another person..?

Do Yamaha's engineers have three hands ?
VERY sick, Yamaha.

To be able to do this, I must be an ALIEN with a hand that has a span of 45 cm, which is the distance between EXIT and INTRO A.

For 9000 PRO (the 9000 has different way to enter test mode) on page 55 of the service manual.

How to enter the Test Program
<MANUAL MODE>
While pressing the [SONG1], [SONG PLAYER] buttons, turn on the power switch.

Proceeding through the Test Program
To select the program number, use the [NEXT] and [BACK] buttons.
To start the test, press the [START/STOP] button.

3-4. About the Display
When testing is in progress, the display shows the test number and test name. For information about other display content,
refer to the explanations for the individual tests.
On tests that return an OK/NG judgment: If the test returns an OK, an asterisk (*) appears to the left of the test name (after
the test is finished).

3-5. Returning to the Test Select Screen
If at test returns an NG, you can return to the test select screen using any of the following methods.
Method 1 Press the [DEMO] button.
Method 2 C1 Key ON.
Note that if test result was other than NG, you can return to the test select screen by pressing the [START/STOP] button

I have now run the test program.

Result:
NO ERROR.

As expected.
The keyboard works as it should with the footswitch anyway, which is good enough.
