I have now tested most of the buttons and functions, and am simply impressed that everything works 100% as it should.

This testifies to complete quality - after 25 years, everything still works optimally..!

The keyboard looked terrible when I received it, dusty like nothing else; ingrained dirt all over.
After 2 cleanings it looks pretty good, with only a few faint scratches in a few places.
Plus some rust.

It has obviously been stored in a cold damp cellar for many years.
But has survived.

Buttons for Mains and Fills as well as several others are very poorly marked - they are completely black, but they have a recessed mark, which makes it possible to fill in color.
I have many special pens, including some that are chalk-based, which are very well suited for this, with many different colors.

I will fill in chalk in the depressions, and then the buttons will be super-visible.

As I said, the layout is very different, but not necessarily negatively.
For example, there are separate buttons for fills, which I actually prefer as a Korg user.

Making adjustments to EQ and effects is very easy, and all effects are easily accessible once you find them.
I found everything without looking in the manual.

And the pads are just as good as they were on the Technics KN-6000/7000 - extremely effective with easy direct access to pad sets.
Very well composed and mixed.

The voice quality is experienced as varying; but several are better than on Audya and Pa5X - others are clearly worse.

However, everything has a dynamic (expression/velocity) that I have only found on OASYS, Kronos and Nautilus.
Live! Drum Kits are really good with their 4 layers of samples, each set at different velocity - play softly and you get a sample of a lightly struck drum; play firmly and you get the sample of a loudly struck drum.

And they have added natural room ambience.

Bass drums and bass instruments are more precise and dynamic than on the Pa5X..!

If you listen to a complex style, you can easily separate all the instruments from each other; all tones are very well separated.
In this area, Audya and Pa5X have no chance against the 9000 Pro (Pa5X have troublesome compression of the sound; regardless of settings).

And the mixing quality of styles is superb; also OTS.


9000 Pro is the KING.
