TODAY'S TEST
Today I did something I had wanted to do for a long time:
Testing the microphones on my accordion.
This is an accordion I inherited from my father that has built-in microphones, but it's 45 years old, and these types of microphones rarely last many years before they stop working.
I've had many accordions with built-in microphones since 1979, but they all stopped working after a few years.
Therefore I was very curious if THIS worked - it has never been connected before.
I simply connected it to the Pa5X's mic input, and immediately there was only low-frequency noise, but the microphones WORKED.
The connection is TRS Jack, and I tried to pull this back out a bit (from experience), and VOILA!
The noise disappeared, and the microphones work as if they were new..?
Bugari Armando has never been my favorite brand, but the microphones are absolutely pro made.
However, other problems emerged:
Various mechanical problems with clattering for some buttons in the right section as well as several bass buttons mechanically getting stuck in the chassis.
Amazingly, the reeds blocks work very well, although the accordion has never been serviced - well done, Bugari.
I can easily fix the described problems myself, as I learned this already at the age of 17 from my uncle.
A little disassembly and adjustment of the levers mechanism is probably enough.
The attached picture also shows my previous Roland FR-8Xb, which I sold because it did not meet my requirements.
