WHY KORG'S SAMPLINGS IS BETTER THAN YAMAHA'S

Over the years I have done extensive mixing on Tyros4, A-3000 and Genos.
It has always been the case that I have reached an upper limit for dynamic content in the upper frequency range, which has taken the form of harsh sound and messy perspective.

With the Korg, and especially the Pa5X, the dynamic limit is much higher - I can increase the upper frequency range significantly more, and find that the sound only gets better.

Why ?

Largely because Yamaha is still living in the stone age, and relates to 16 bit resolution.
Korg has used 24 bit for a long time, which gives a much higher dynamic limit.

Yamaha claims that they used 32 bit dac in the Genos and 24 bit dac in the SX and all other arrangers, but what they don't say is that this is only in a very limited part of the circuit; only 16 bits are output.

It doesn't help much that parts of the circuit are 32 bit, when the source material (the samples) is only 16 bit.
It will be as if you convert Mp3 to Wave and think that the quality will be better.
It won't be.
