Genos 2 - totally overprized

WTF...
Genos 2 costs NOK 65,900 in Norway's cheapest store.

Not many people will buy this totally overpriced keyboard.

The Pa5X cost much less at launch, and was totally underpriced with its many innovations.

Shame on you Yamaha...

You probably hear something the same as me.

I would argue that the demos I've mentioned below are worse - the drums that are said to be ambience sound in no way the way the Pa5X's do.

The only one who presents a decent quality is Peter Baartmans, but he uses RGT almost throughout...
What he presents is therefore not what you get when you buy it.

Its as ive said before a huge chunk of peoples money and will be out the reach of many im afraid.
If it wasnt for my father passing i would never in a million years have owned a Tyros4 let alone a Pa700. So I think myself lucky for what I have.

G2 is more than 30% more expensive than what Pa5X was in Norway.
It's hair-raising that a keyboard like the G2 can be so expensive, while the Pa5X was really cheap compared to the number of innovations.

But it is anyway too expensive for most people.
I remember that the Technics KN-7000 cost a fortune, and was much more expensive than others.
The Tyros1 which came around the same time was much cheaper.

Yamaha risks experiencing the same thing as Technics - that they have to close down the production of keyboards; at least expensive models.

What comes back to making what you have sound the best it or they possibly can, even if its a matter of being creative and using workarounds.

But i think with all the work i have done now the pa700 i have now sounds way different to the Pa700 i purchased back in 2017.

I would hope to be in the same with my Tyros 4.

It also comes down to being able to turn sounds you may not like into something you do.

Lots of good points there.

You have learned how you can actually improve your Pa700 quite simply, and it probably looks much better with your edits than from the factory.

You cannot easily achieve the same result with Tyros4, because this does not have the same advanced filters, and you also have to save many advanced edits as RGT, because they cannot be saved to the style itself. 
Yamaha special; really a lot of extra work.

And a sound you don't like can often with minimal edits become one you like, and you reason this exactly as I do.

Also, few people know how to use available resources, but you are quite good at learning and understanding necessary theory, while I am always looking for shortcuts.
The way you learn it, you know more precisely what is happening and why.

Starting with a basic set of waveforms and from there carving in to a sound you want (of something close to it)

By using the envelopes, filters, single or multi oscillators.

I do have the voice editing software for the tyros4 but hardly any documentation on how to use it.

Having watch numerous demos the focus is on the Dukduk sound. How many of the average users are actually going to use this sound ?

That's probably where I have my strength - I try different configurations and see what happens. 

Lol - Dukduk must be said to be distant from our musical reality - if I listen to this one too much, I may risk being committed to a mental institution.
