MY POSITIVE IMPRESSION OF PA5X CONTINUES TO INCREASE - EVEN AFTER 10 MONTHS OF USE

After constantly finding new unknown functions, this keyboard impresses more and more, even after 10 months of use.
This is an achievement that no one else has come close to.

I've always believed that drum kits are the most important of all - these MUST be good enough, but NEVER are - even on the Pa5X.
Then comes the big surprise:

By chance I got to test some drum kits from AD that I had installed a long time ago; AD and AD-M.
There are a total of 89 drum kits of these, and they reveal that the Pa5X has qualities that even surpass the Kronos - believe it or not.
And this is the case WITHOUT me using the Drum Editor.

These kits surpass anything I've heard, and they are very well put together, because I can ALWAYS use one of these kits and get better sound - on every single style I've tested; both internal and external styles.

For a long time I used a pack of 41 SF2 drum kits that I had picked out individually and put together to use with the A3000.

Several of these were better than those found on Genos, but the ones from AD are even better - at least with Pa5X.

The reality of the korg through this forum is it definatly was released to early. Because you have experimented with other model styles its amazing that previous models styles upscaled are better than internal ones.
Try using the Dukes ballad in jazz section then the one you have in fav 10 you can clearly hear the difference.
on a lot of the styles they seem thicker in tone. Also with Mr rubinez showing various functions hidden and completely missed by korg the possibilities are enormous.
I would love to hear the demonstration on the drums youve been testing

Ps My senior moment was caused by Korg calling sustain /damper i couldnt get my head around it lol

Duke's ballad is one of many examples of what a difference some simple FX effects can make.
Precisely FX effects are the key to achieving maximum sound quality, something that should have been better focused on by those working with sound improvements.

Qui Robinez has opened the door for us by sharing his knowledge about this, and has also demonstrated how good Pa5X is - with the right choice of FX effects it appears better than Kronos, which is the king of all kings...?

Or was..?

@Rob

I know you're just as interested in drum kits as I am, and you're also a drummer.
I barely played drums many years ago, but have been to many rehearsals with local bands over the years.

What is really special about the AD sets is that they add a more authentic reproduction of the acoustics that are actually present when you sit in front of a drummer.

It is precisely the lack of acoustic information that makes traditional drum sets appear synthetic and lifeless.

I don't know exactly where I got my ADs from, but I know they are available as a complete SET for download in the forum somewhere.
