TEST OF YAMAHA MODX M8

Thanks for your extensive review Chello! I'm glad you are generally very positive.
Just picked up my MODX M6. Only played for 15 minutes with some preset performances and scenes, my first experiences are very positive.
The sound quality is very good, scenes are well mixed. The superknob gives another dimension to playing.

The FSB keybed is above my expectations, comparable with the Genos. It's semi-weighted with a pleasant touch. A joy to play.
I read horror stories about the keyed of the MODX and MODX+ so this quality keybed is a nice surprise.

I'm first going to update the firmware, mine was delivered with 1.00.2. On the Yamaha website 1.11 is available.

The MODX M is a workstation with deep editing functionality, so mastering it will take a lot of time.
