THE SIMILARITY BETWEEN VARIABLE PARAMETERS WITHIN MIDI AND VARIABLE RESISTANCE

Recently, I have made some interesting experiences when I have added FX effects to styles:
It turns out that FX effects work differently for styles made for brands other than Korg, as well as styles made from MIDI where the parameters are different from Korg's.

Styles like this cannot withstand the same amount and effect of FX - the effects will be different than for Korg styles.

Why ?
Because a lot of MIDI parameters are missing or different.

Here's a fun comparison:
When I tune speaker units and calculate correction circuits, I take care to use units that are as impedance linear as possible; that they are for instance 8 Ohm in the entire frequency range they are to be used for.
This is absolutely necessary for the correction circuit to work as intended.

If the unit for instance has a dip to 4 Ohm in the impedance curve at 2kHz, this will result in a peak at 2kHz, because the components' values are doubled in 4 Ohm.

The vast majority of units have several such dips in the impedance curve, and the trick is to only use the frequency range that has a smooth impedance curve so that the frequency curve is straight.

Variations in MIDI parameters seem to have the same effect, as the FX gets unwanted less or more (or different) effect than normal.
Shared knowledge provides increased knowledge
If we all share everything we have, we all have everything
Every theory is only a hypothesis until it is practically proven
