SO EASY YOU CAN EDIT A STYLE TO GET BETTER

Forget everything to do with advanced edits.

If your keyboard has a Drum Editor, you can add some EQ and some ambience to the desired elements.
Finally, you can add some reverb to all instruments except bass and drums/perc.

It's better to use too little than too much; this applies to both EQ, ambience and reverb.
That's all you need !

This afternoon I was playing music at a nursing home.

No reverb was added to any of the styles or keyboard sets, just used the early reflections reverb with a small amount of early reflections and pre delay.

It sounded much better than using the other presets.

No reverb is actually needed as you have the natural reverb of the venue which everything sound less washed out.

You are absolutely right.
It took me many years to learn this.

Too little reverb can give a too dry sound in a studio, while too much reverb can completely ruin the soundscape in a venue with certain acoustics.
