Thank you for taking the time to download these videos Chello, Some amazing sounds.
I had the Fantom 7 at one point, one thing i remember is some sounds sounding thin, in some instances I feel this is the case here.
What though is amazing is the price point and flexibility.
The success will be its usability. both Kronos and Fantom were difficult to navigate and led to frustration, im hoping this bucks that trend
as this will open it up to a whole new generation.

I agree that some sounds sound thin, but this is very easy to do something with, and the samples are the best, which allows for some adjustments.

The price is insanely low, and so is the weight, plus it is genetically identical to the Montage M, which means that many who already have a Montage M also acquire a MODX M - they use Montage in their studio and MODX M at GIGs.

With the Montage M and MODX M, Yamaha has done something similar to what Korg did with the Pa5X - they have dramatically improved the interface, making navigation easier than ever.

Everything indicates that with the MODX M, Yamaha has developed a new winner that will blow all competitors off the field.


We'll see what my test says.
