YAMAHA`S SYNTHESIZERS ARE AHEAD OF KORG`S
I have some experience with Korg`s synthesizers, having had both Krome, Kronos, Nautilus and OASYS.
I have no experience with Yamaha`s.
Nevertheless - I realize from manuals and videos that Yamaha`s UI is far superior to Korg`s - everything is more intuitive and directly accessible without having to scroll through a bunch of menus.
Korg has also done all this right with the Pa5X, but Kronos 3 has in no way upgraded its UI to be like the Pa5X.
If Korg had done this, everyone else would have had great trouble gaining market share, simply because Kronos has 9 sound engines, while Montage only has 3.
Nobody matches Korg in this regard.
But Montage has the best keybed on the market, and the M series (Montage M & MODX M) also has MIDI 2.0, which expands the theoretical limit for the number of parameters to 1024.
This has enormous consequences for the musician's ability to express himself, as the dynamic range is correspondingly expanded, if the hardware allows this.
Another feature is the Super Knob, which can control up to 128 parameters simultaneously and can be programmed freely.
A third feature is Scenes, which can be interpreted as an extended Karma, but is far more advanced, because these provide direct access to alternative libraries and are much easier to use.

Shared knowledge provides increased knowledge
