Why this area is called "Slaughter Bench"

The reason is simply that I make stricter requirements for equipment than what most people do, no matter what background they may have.
I have had very many expensive keyboards; also some synthesizers.

I have also been developing speakers for almost 40 years, and have a PA system as well as speakers connected to my keyboards that most people can only dream of.

In addition, I have studied electronics and many fields within this; such as sound mixing and acoustics.
I have been to countless private events and listened to groups, where most instruments have been used; both acoustic and electronic.


I therefore believe in having a solid basis for my tests, and often find that my assessment is very different from what is common.

And - almost most importantly:
I am still able to hear sinus frequencies well above 20kHz, which is crucial to be able to judge sound.

By the way, I have studied many other fields, and have studied both philosophy and psychology for 5 years, plus during this time I read all the academic books the library had.

I am also a machine carpenter and CNC operator, and have 2 workshops.
I have many hobbies - too many... 
But I'm not an expert.
