THE BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOU AND ME
It has long since dawned on me that I am different.
 How then different ?
We're all driving and 'messing' on our keyboards to please ourselves.
Ideally, we should share the results of this experience with everyone else, but it seems that almost everyone has an (unintelligible) built-in fear of others stealing their hard-earned effort and putting their own name on it.

Sharing of knowledge is limited to theoretical hypotheses, while actual physical results are left out and never shared with the community.

I have a short story to illustrate what most people are like:
For many years I made nameplates in wood which I used an overhand router to process, and developed my own techniques.
It was only me who did this in this way, while the country's vocational schools were the only ones that used a milling machine, but then a CNC controlled version.
 I did everything freehand.

I knew a local woodcarver made such signs with hand tools, which took an awfully long time, while I only spent about 30 minutes.
This person many times came to visit my workplace, where he stood and watched while I worked on private work during breaks.
He then asked me what he needed to get to do it my way and I gave him a shopping list.

Some time later he said it was impossible to do what I did - he couldn't do it.
We then entered into a partnership agreement and I made signs for him for several years, making good money.

One day I was visited by a person who had bought a sign from this woodcarver, and he had a sign with to show.
It immediately struck him that it was I who had made this, while he had been told something else, and he felt deceived.
 Me too..?

This person then sought out the woodcarver and confronted him with reality, as did several others.

Some time later I met the woodcarver to deliver the last sign, and I was scolded for ruining his good name and reputation.
I told him to go to hell, kept the sign, and never saw him again.

Unfortunately, this is only one example of how most people are; they happily take credit for other people's work, and present themselves as better than they actually are.

Working with keyboards is no different - I've found hundreds of styles that other people say they made, when in fact I made them.

Nevertheless, I continue with my work, and share what I create continuously.
And I do this for free; I only charge in certain cases when ordering.

I have never seen the point of making things without sharing them with others, and despite my experiences, have little understanding of people's unwillingness to share their work.

Thank you very much for showing that you value my work highly.

Regarding what you say about "But I can't share any of the things you share because I play keyboard and that's it..." , I would say the following:
You can share the files you use on your keyboards; you don't need to have done anything with them.
If everyone did something that simple, we'd all have a lot more material available than we do.

You have always been good at sharing links and things like that, as well as regularly giving good reviews of my work.

PS:
I also write a fair amount in many media, draw and ride bike (recently bought a pro race bike, as I rode a lot in previous years).

I think you have been very generous with your creations styles, mid audio, etc, etc, more so than any other group.
I would like to see a return to some tutorial and response's to questions even if we don`t have the answer  as this is where you excelled.

Content is great but communication and debate is better when the group interact.

In terms of file sharing im not sure where everyone stands, theres loads out there .but paid and existing packs seems to be taboo elsewhere. I know this is a private group but how do you view it ?

Colin
Thank you very much for sharing your positive view of me and my work.
And I share more than other admins in other groups; this has always been one of my favorite things to do - better than others.

When it comes to returning to tutorials and questions, this largely depends on my own interest in the topic in question, but I welcome requests.
File sharing can be as simple as posting whatever you have that you're particularly happy with, which you've done more than anyone else for Pa5X.

As far as paid and existing packages are concerned, this is quite unproblematic to share in a group, as the law on Copyright has undergone major changes recently, which means that the responsibility for "illegal" forwarding of files no longer rests with you or me, but the host provider.
All files that are posted undergo an automatic check for copyright, and if/when necessary, these are removed from the server when this is detected.
Quite unproblematic, really.
I have also decided to moderate the requirements for file sharing of our forum's files to other forums:
Ask me first and specify which files are relevant and I will look into it.
As long as it is stated that the files come from our forum with my approval, most things can be posted on - once my approval is confirmed.
Shared knowledge provides increased knowledgeIf we all share everything we have, we all have everything

You have contributed more than anyone else with your thoughts and ideas at all times - you are as active as myself, and do a very good job as a moderator.

Your efforts have largely contributed to keeping the forum alive, even if the members are generally passive with feedback and updates on what they themselves are doing.
