UPDATE
I have now installed the MOTU Audio Interface.
A different setup than what I'm used to, and it took some time to get everything to work optimally.
The first thing to be noticed is TOTAL SILENCE.
In fact, so quiet via Line that I had to turn up all the levels quite a bit in order to hear anything at all.
Combi Line in the front, on the other hand, gave the desired signal strength out into the speakers, while the actual recording level is still too low, even if the signal meters indicate orange.
Strange.
I got no sound with Sony Sound Forge, while Audacity worked after I had selected the right driver.
It comes with a rather advanced software for recording - Performer Lite, which is a bit like Cubase and others.
I've installed it, but it doesn't work for an unknown reason.
The program's manual is over 600 pages, but fortunately MOTU has created a full tutorial for Performer Lite; from installation to advanced use.
I think I need to look through their tutorials...
