How to find the Title of the song you are listening to; the name of the Artiste; the Lyrics; and a whole lot more besides.
There must be many times that I have been listening to a song I know .. but can’t remember the Title of it (or who sang it!). If I knew the name of the song I could go listen to it on YouTube .. and have a go at playing it on my keyboard.
So here is something I have just been told about by my daughter-in-law. No doubt you (reading this) have known about it for months/years!
I have an android mobile phone (a Samsung), and as this is an Apple product I wouldn’t have thought it would have worked on my android phone. How wrong I was!
I have been to the Play Store and downloaded the App Shazam (it’s FREE). I had to give it permission to ‘record’ (to get it to work); but have blocked ‘Notifications’.
When you have some music playing, tap the Shazam App .. and you get this:
Tap the middle of the circle.
The first piece of music I tried it on, it came up with this in just a few seconds.
If you want the LYRICS, tap on that and they’ll come up.
The next song I tried it on it came up with this.
So next time I am in a Restaurant I won’t have to ask the waitress what music they have playing .. I’ll just use the Shazam App on my mobile.
By the way .. this only works with original Artistes (which presumably have to be in their Database). It’s not picking up the ‘melody’ of a song, so it won’t pick up something you are playing on your keyboard and tell you what song you are playing.
