THE TRUTH ABOUT DEEBACH BLACKBOX

Today I did something that I have been thinking about doing for a while:
I opened the Deebach BlackBox.
Why?

Because I suspected that Deebach was cheating buyers by claiming that they had developed a special chip for their system.

The main chip on the motherboard in the BlackBox turns out to be the Medeli A25 - this is used in cheap keyboards such as the Startone MK-300.

       

It is also produced in Hong Kong, which is notorious for producing the worst quality available.
The device may not have cost Deebach much in purchase, but they know how to charge.
Damn scammers.

They are not all that inventive when they try to trick the customers. This makes it easy to earn good money. Such firms should simply be banned and banned from putting products on the market, if it can't be done in a fair way.

You and I understand each other.
You've seen what Deebach stands for from the very beginning - I remember very well that you tried to warn me.
I will do whatever I can to blacklist this company.

I have done further research, and found that the chip is used on many keyboards, including the Medeli A-300.
What is very important to note, however, is that the card used in the BlackBox is identical to the card in these keyboards - the card is a standard universal card, with simple possibilities for modifications.

For example, space has been made for a sustain pedal as well as midi out, plus space has been made for many other components.
If you look at the back of many cheap keyboards, you see the same connections as on the card.

In other words, this card can in no way be said to be able to reproduce sound of the quality Deebach claims, as it maintains the lowest standard.
All contacts at the back are also soldered directly to the card, which is guaranteed to give poor contact after a short time of use.

Try inserting a TRS jack into such a connection, and see what happens to the soldering point.
There are threads on the connectors, but these are not screwed on; this also applies to the front switches and potentiometer.

Everything is of the worst imaginable quality.

Damn,
I bought my BlackBox 14 days to early.
Had I known all that, I could have saved 500 € and bought something better musically focused with it.
I've also got that thing working now. I listened to your advice Chello, put my T5 back in the factory settings. First I didn't get any sound anymore, and after loading the sounds again everything worked fine, only as you say poor sounds, NOT WHAT I EXPECTED AT ALL !!!

This is the industry all over, Its sad people advertise these products in the knowledge that they don`t do what they say they do, usually with poor instructions and poor support.
Are these companies not regulated ?
At least we are lucky to have People willing to give us this information to save us doing the same thing .As music lovers we are easy targets.

You were unlucky to buy BB a little too early.

And thanks for confirming that my tip worked - Deebach should have said this in the manual, because it is basic for all installations of this type.

It is also interesting that you share my assessment of the sound quality.
Try to sell your BB as soon as possible.

Interesting comment you have. 
I never discuss politics in this forum, but I make an exception this one time:

Companies have always (previously) been subject to strict regulation.
However, this has changed dramatically in recent years, and the reason can largely be found in EU directives. Here in Norway, we have been forced into more than 12,000 directives from the EU since 1994, even though we only have economic cooperation with the EU.

Many of the directives violate the Constitution plus other fundamental laws.
What is common is that the directives allow manufacturers to do as they please, without these being subsequently prosecuted for what they have done.

Deebach and like-minded industries take advantage of this system, and it is we consumers who must pay the price at all times.

An additional problem now is that most people are aware of their lousy quality and it will be very difficult to sell. I thought it was weird from the start that deebach wasn't for sale in any serious music store. You could only buy it directly from them. And things like that stink. It's a shame about your money.

Yes, I well remember you questioning Deebach`s credibility a long time ago. 

I have studied Deebach`s marketing, and can not help but notice that their demonstrations are always held for an audience that seems to have been taken from the place's old home - the audience is all elderly people with walking chairs and hearing aids.

Dietmar Delissen also has everything to learn when it comes to the actual presentation of sounds - he plays each sound for a few seconds, and changes sound all the time, so that it is impossible to form a certain impression of the quality.
In addition, he uses hidden pedals for various effects, plus he uses a separate USB stick.


I have also checked all their models, and all of them are identical to Medeli`s cheapest range.
As mentioned, BlackBox uses the cheapest motherboard Medeli uses on its cheapest models.
To do everything wrong, the motherboard is turned upside down, something I have never seen before.
This results in the card not being cooled, because all the heat is trapped.
Result: Short service life.

I came up with one more thing:
When I had MAX Plus, I knew this was "based on" the Medeli A1000.
When I compared the sound from the A1000's demos, I thought this one was very similar to my MAX Plus.

I had no idea how right I was, because the only difference was Deebach`s cheap plastic film logo that was glued to the chassis.

His alleged self-developed chip exists only in his own imagination.
