THAT'S WHY PIANO ORCHESTRAS DON'T EXIST

A symphony orchestra can work quite brilliantly under good acoustic conditions.
This is because the number and type of instruments are carefully adapted to the acoustics.

If e.g. 1 of 7 violins is different than the others, this one will ruin all the others.
Temporal displacements can also occur, which interfere with the others.
This is due to different requirements for the room's acoustics.

Ideally, all 7 violins should be identical, as should all other instrument groups' instruments.

Most people have probably noticed how terribly cruel an accordion orchestra can sound, and this is largely because this is made up of different models.

Piano is known to be the most demanding instrument of all acoustically speaking, because it spans a maximum frequency range.
Two identical pianos in the same room will sound different, as these have slightly different placements due to the size of both the instrument and the room.

If you place multiple pianos in the same room, the acoustics will collapse and fall victim to standing waves with large time shifts, and even the best pianists will have great difficulty keeping the beat.

If these pianos are different models, the problem becomes very intrusive.

An orchestra's composition and number of instruments are also carefully thought out in terms of tonal range, as they overlap – they all have their specific area of work, which together results in them covering the entire frequency and dynamic range.
