STRANGE EXPERIENCES WITH GENOS TO PA5X

STRANGE EXPERIENCES WITH GENOS TO PA5X

Over the years there have always been drums that have not worked, and these have often been impossible to recreate, while ACCs have worked reasonably well.

Now the result is turned upside down, because it is now ALWAYS possible to get drums and bass to work well (in fact, excellently in many cases), while several ACCs give serious disharmony and must be omitted.

Many ACCs also tend to be reproduced an octave too low.

Right section voices generally have incorrect parameters, which results in a different sound regardless of the choice of sound, with a very high level of reverb that cannot be removed (disabling Master B effects does not help).

Despite these challenges, it is possible to convert all Genos styles to Pa5X without the use of external software by replacing non-working ACCs with some from the Pa5X's internal styles (or others).

The question becomes:
Is it worth the effort ?

YES.
When I play these styles, I experience something strange - the playing pleasure is significantly greater than with styles from other models, but why ?

The styles are better made than Korg's, with better rhythm patterns, the degree of velocity is higher, and drums are much more dynamic with more genuine ambience that is experienced as airier and more present than Pa5X internal styles, regardless of the degree of ambience that is added to the internal styles.

Only Master effects are transferred when converting, while pads and Keyboard Sets get a useless default setup.

So what ?
All of this can be rebuilt..?
