Good Evening. So today I was continuing working through the many styles and registrations and my Tyros 4. All was going well until my Flash Drive decided to develop a fault. Luckily everything is backed up regularly, and the majority of content is transferred via usb cable.
Lesson of the day. Backup Backup and Backup Again.

A good reminder you bring here.
I have experienced the same thing as you twice in recent times; once with Tyros4 and once with A3000 - my flash drive "had to be formatted".
When this happens, it is usually possible to connect the flash drive to another system, and use it as before - it is usually fine; it is the keyboard's OS that creates the problems.
In any case, it is a good idea to take regular backups of flash drives, and put this on a cloud, in case of a system crash on the PC.

The usb drive is recognised in the device but is listed as no media.
I have noticed with a lot of the Yamaha styles the style and right parts are poorly balanced, some use way too much reverb.

Exactly - Yamaha styles are generally lousy mixed (also Genos' internals).
And most of the styles use too much reverb as well as other effects.
I have a certain background understanding and experience in sound mixing, and modern theories claim that effects such as reverberation and other things can be applied artificially afterwards, which I strongly disagree with, because reverb is an important part of the instrument's fingerprint.
A piano that is assigned the wrong type of reverb will, for example, sound awful, which it usually does on most keyboards.
Precisely because my later conversions are "completely pure" for effects, these sound much better than anything else - in my convinced opinion.
All effects must be added by the player himself, where his acoustics must be taken into account - not others.

it’s important that everything flows correctly from the style and registrations, that’s why when I see people use the one song per registration method isn’t that efficient. Because you might use the same registration in multiple songs. Which is why it’s important to have a library of well balanced registrations that are sounds only based that you can use in multiple songs or on the fly.
