IS THE FIRST IMPRESSION OF A PRODUCT TO BE TRUSTWORTHY ?

IS THE FIRST IMPRESSION OF A PRODUCT TO BE TRUSTWORTHY ?

I have always maintained that the first impression is decisive for the final assessment, but this opinion should perhaps be changed.

The only thing I think is immediately valid is the assessment of the keybed, because I always do some critical runs with different sounds as one of the first things - if the test does not pass, the keybed is not good enough no matter what changes are made.

The assessment of sounds is more difficult, because these depend to a large and varying extent on various settings and effects - this often requires several hours of effective editing and playing to assess, but sometimes a fairly credible picture is given immediately.

How it is to make the necessary edits is a chapter in itself, and is very critical for the final decision.
If basic edits are easy and logical to make, this will contribute greatly to the product surviving the test.

I find it sobering that the Korg Grandstage X, which is Korg's premium piano with 7 sound engines, does not have a grand piano or electric piano that meets my expectations, and in fact lacks many basic sounds.

In general, I consider the Tyros 4 to be the best of all when it comes to sounds - it is the only one that fulfills all.
So for anyone who wants a cheap and really good arranger, this is my absolute recommendation.

Its difficult sometimes especially when watching Utube, its been said before the sponsers use the best equipment mixers etc
and on some cases dubious Usbs.
The keyboard i dismissed to quickly was the Ketron Event i found everything confusing and uninspiring.
Yet when i went online the quality of styles were amazing.
Similar with the Wersi oax600 looks  like a space ship but sounded no better than the Korg Pa5x.
Regarding key beds people have different views on what they like.
Some think a piano keyboard too difficult, but a piano player wouldn`t thank you for most arranger keyboards

For me Key Bed quality & feel has always been a N01 requirement.
This started with the excellent Key Bed of Yamaha 9000 Pro followed by Tyros Keys.
My first and now DGX weighted I would find difficulty being without a weighted action.
