Managing Tyros 4 Samples and Memory
#1
When I purchased my Tyros 4 I was lucky enough to have a 512mb module installed which I knew were very expensive. As you do when you get a new keyboard you try to load anything and everything. But you soon come to halt and not enough memory. So its important to manage what memory you have. I think its a case of weighing up what sounds your actually going to use rather than what you might use.

Definitely a point there - just like that.
My Anniversary Edition had a defective card, which resulted in all data disappearing from time to time.
Not funny.

My standard T4 did not have an expansion card installed at all, while my A3000 fortunately has 512MB as standard.
Expansion cards for the Tyros series are now very difficult to obtain, but there is another manufacturer that actually makes 2GB (or 4GB) expansion cards.

Orgeln knows more about this.  29

The modules are pretty expensive even second hand. But as to the sample space, it’s kind of like the Korg filing system.

You think you have a lot of space for user content but it’s important that you manage everything carefully. Because available space soon runs out or in a mess.
Yes you can use the Direct Filing system but all samples have to be stored internally.

Im working on a filing system that doesn’t result in a bottle neck.
