MY GRANDSTAGE X WILL BE RETURNED
#1
Exclamation
MY GRANDSTAGE X WILL BE RETURNED

I actually thought that the Grandstage X would be good enough, but it is not.
After using it for almost 2 weeks I realize that some things do not meet the expected standard.

The only thing that is really good is the keybed.
Grand Pianos & El Pianos are not as expected.

Some important instruments are missing, such as jazz guitar, and there is only 1 distortion guitar, and this is too poorly made.

In addition, the rhythm section with only bass and drums is experienced as too simple; there should have been at least one more instrument.

Only 22 rhythms is also too few.

The fact that bass and drums cannot be selected for the rhythms is also something I was not prepared for.

Effects can be adjusted in volume, but their parameters cannot be adjusted, and the LOW EQ is useless, as this has too high a center frequency (100 Hz or higher).

Some basic functions are (despite the simple design) also hidden in menus that make daily use difficult.

I'm unlikely to look for a new product, because none of them are likely to be good enough.

Maybe I should repair my OASYS instead...

You know something as great though the Pa5x is, I thought I would miss it, but in reality it don’t..

Returning to the Pa700 has made me realise something, whist it doesn’t has all the extra features and sounds extra sometimes it’s better to work with less it just makes you more resourceful.

And from what I understand is that the retailers are having a bad time with the sales of arrangers especially KORG and Yamaha, it the manufacturers stop making hardware arrangers it might mean we all have to be resourceful and work with what we have.

The Pa5X is a keeper for me, and I can't imagine anyone replacing it.
The Pa700 has almost the same features, just harder to access.

The Grandstage X worked well with the Pa5X, but its sounds aren't as good as expected.
The price has just been lowered again - they are desperate to sell new products - which no one wants..?

I think the OASYS will do the job, because I've found out everything I need to know to customize everything the way I want.

The OASYS also has the world's best synth-weighted keybed, and might make the best base for a module like the EVM - who knows what will happen...

Maybe I'll buy a midi accordion or a module or nothing at all.  35

its horses for course I think, Ive had loads of stuff some amazing but usually difficult to use especially synths.
Yamaha really haven`t upped their game with their arrangers.
Korg still seems to have a lot of criticism which is sad as i loved that keyboard.
Ketron seems to have the best live sounds and them recruiting Tamar, from global sounds could mean something special on the horizon
however the price of styles and add ons  make it a difficult choice

I still think buck for money the MODX takes some beating, just wish they would make it more user friendly
who knows what the future holds but modules like the EVM, from other manufactures would allow customers to keep their favourite
Keyboards but keep up with technology.

The Pa5X is unrivaled for me, despite the many serious bugs that are not being fixed; I can still do most of what I want.

Ketron has the best styles, and it is easy to create new ones from the ones that exist internally, while sounds are a nightmare with their high price and extensive copy protection - I will never buy sounds from Ketron alone due to the copy protection.

The MODX M is probably the best you can get for the price, but the layout is terrible.

The EVM may indicate a new trend in the right direction, and contains new groundbreaking features that are not even on the Pa5X.

It has long been rumored that Roland was working on a new top model, but this seems to be based on fantasies.

This probably applies to many more than just Yamaha, plus both importers and dealers.

Most dealers no longer have expensive products in stock; they have to be ordered, which may indicate liquidity problems and poor finances.

just curious, have you ever considered a Nord Stage 4?

Especially if you like pianos, then nothing comes close in my opinion. I have a lot of pianos in my studio, but my absolute favorite is the nord stage 4 for piano sounds.
The only downside is that it is really expensive, but the quality of the keys and the sounds are fantastic in my opinion so for me it's worth it.

Thank you very much for your tip, which I will keep in mind.

I have actually considered the Nord Stage 4, but the price is on the high side, plus I can't stand the red color - Nord should provide alternative colors.

I don't like the design either, but I know that many people say this is the best of all.

Maybe one day I'll get one anyway...
There are a lot of them available on the used market at reasonable prices.
