MIXING MUST BE DONE INDIVIDUALLY AND WITH CARE

I have now worked with all kinds of effects almost daily for almost 4 years, and have discovered many ways to mix.

The Pa5X's internal styles are mixed with many different setups, depending on the kind of sound image that is desired for the individual style.

I struggled for a long time to find a setup that works with all styles, but this is not possible, although the Drum Editor will ALWAYS be able to improve all drum kits.

Korg has in many cases used Reverb on drums, and this can be advantageously turned off, and replaced by Genuine Ambience with the Drum Editor, which is available for many drum kits.

The selected drum kit can also in many cases be changed to one that works better, but this only applies to styles created with OS before version 3.0, because later versions of styles have drum kits that are heavily modified in Cubase, and thus only the original drum kit will work; all others will sound terrible.

My latest Punchy Drums mix with parametric EQ of all active drum elements works well, while parametric EQ for all tracks gives very different results.

So it seems that the final solution is to use the Drum Editor, Punchy Drums mix, and reduce the level of reverb on all tracks, because this is generally far too high and masks the touch of different instruments.

I have also learned that all changes should be made with the utmost care, and always LESS than you first think, because each track affects the rest.

Yes; and it's funny to note that I started with the most effective tool for drums (Drum Editor), and ended up with the foundational tool 4 Band Parametric EQ together with this, after trying out many advanced tools that are too complex to use.

So I've learned to spend the least amount of time and at the same time achieve the most - effective mixing.

And no books or tutorials could have taught me the same thing as experience has done.

Maybe I should have written a tutorial for mixing based on my experiences, and maybe have saved many users from spending a lot of their time banging their heads against the wall ? 

I strictly only need 3 tools:
* Drum Editor
* 4 Band Parametric EQ
* Reverb (minimum possible)
