Here are some demos of what Ive been working on.
When I mention compression its actually using the Stereo Limiter.
First up is the Cool Pop Style with Ambient Reverb For A Small Size Room. No Compression.

Now the same with the feel of a larger room and compression on the drums.

It feels like being in a huge room.
There are reverb on all tracks.
I always use reverb only on drums, and try to use so little that an A/B comparison with filters on/off shows a moderate difference; Just as much that the difference is still clear.

Some tracks use the ambient reverb some use the second reverb, or a combination of both in varying
ammounts, not sure if I used the right compression settings on the drums. But will try just on the drum track tomorrow.
Do you recommend using compression on bass ?

Absolutely - I use stereo compressor on bass when I can, as it always provides the desired dynamic, and is easy to get to work the way I want.
