Korg Pa5x live playing all styles Leigh Wilbraham

It's a shame that the performer has no understanding of sound - it's clearly recorded at too high a volume, with distortion as a result.

Leigh Wilbraham should know about sound because he does all the Korg Webinars.

I have found some his YouTube videos, the occasional low bass causes my headphones to clip.
Could it be Youtube settings are using over compression ?.

I didn't know that Leigh is responsible for Korg's Webinars.

You are most likely right that Youtube is the sinner; that they use over compression.
Many otherwise good videos have been ruined by YouTube and their over compression.

Korg should try to ensure that all videos have 24bit sound with no compression, as the type of sound found on this video is colossally destructive.
Korg deserves better.

It should be added that my sound system reveals details relentlessly, to an extent that few systems do.

He used to be yamaha demonstrator however i have no love for him, conceited  and stole from other people and sold as his own.
Moved to Korg and clearly hasn`t been given the sound system support, some very goods sounds ruined by being too loud.
Still give us more idea of keyboard.

Just like with Yamaha a lot of Korg styles are legacy one that have been adapted to take on new sounds and effects of the newer model.


You would think before the video was made public a sound check would have been done.

This will certainly be done, but it helps little when they put saving money higher than quality.

It is possible to get the quality you want at YouTube if you pay what they demand.
The lower the price, the higher the compression.

In any case, most people do not hear the difference between Mp3 in 128kB and wave.

This clearly also applies to Korg's development engineers, who have retained Mp3 as the format for recording.
The format is totally useless for professional processing - it can be compared to using jpg for professional image processing, which everyone knows does not work.
