KORG HAS "RUINED" MOST INTERNAL STYLES ON THE PA5X

This is a bold claim, but I stand by it.
Having edited the Pa5X's internal styles for over 3 years, I know how they are built.

The reason I react so hysterically is that we usually have the option to change the drums/perc on a style if we want a different sound.

We still can, but still can't, because each style (most of them) only works normally with the drum kit/perc that is there originally.

Often it is the case that no other works properly; the sound is ruined no matter which one is tried, and editing doesn't help either.

In my opinion, this is because Korg has used external software to adapt the sound, and has exaggerated the use of this so that no other sounds can be used.
Try disabling ALL effects yourself - it won't help; you're locked to one drum kit/perc.

Almost all styles delivered with OS 1.2 and later are made like this.

The quality of the mixing is also getting worse and worse with each update of OS, and Korg's new way of mixing clashes with all the professional tutorials I've seen.

I'm now working with styles from OS 1.0, and these are made quite differently than the later ones - there's plenty of room for extra effects, and drums/perc can be chosen quite freely.

It is my conviction that the original styles from OS 1.0 are far better than all later ones.
