As you are aware I am in the process of learning to create styles from scratch on both Korg Pa700 and Tyros 4.
When I get more confident in the creation, do you think it would be unfair to put my styles for sale, a small fee in return for time and effort in creation.
Something like £3 per style.

To charge payment for a style they would have to be beyond excellent.
There are thousands plus free style on PSRTutorial
Personally the only time I would pay for a style is if I was gigging professionally and required dedicated song styles.

@musicalmemoriesuk
Your question is reasonable; it is only fair and reasonable that a developer gets paid for his work.
In our previous forum I made songstyles from midi, which I charged for when there was a question of several styles for one member - €2 per style, and this worked fine.
They were all sold as raw files.
I have earned the purchase price for all software from EMC this way.
I have later tried to sell my finished styles in different ways, but this has not led to any results.
You are welcome to create an area here with us for the sale of your styles.

unfortunately, I would be surprised if you have any takers unless you are creating totally innovative or specific styles for an individual, then nobody wants to pay. On other site people allowed some one to sell 1000s of styles for very little.
While I understand why people would buy these, why would you pay anything substantial for a single file. The problem with having 1000s of styles 99% of them are sub standard and not made for all models this dilutes the brand.
This site offers a huge portfolio of styles sounds etc but usually with the keyboard they were intended for.
I have done demonstrations on different companies styles rgt etc to demonstrate VFM, however its hard enough for people to put a like or comment let alone look to see what`s out there.

1. It would have been nice for Yamaha or 3rd Party have produced more Fee Play styles.
Understandably there is a limitation problem for making each sound a little different.
2. I do however expect Yamaha to produce more ADAPTIVE Styles for DGX & other models.

1. It is basically strange that Yamaha produces as few Free Play styles as they do, because they are quite easy to make.
Korg has introduced Free Play for the first time on the Pa5X, which has several (6 pieces, as far as I know).
2. Yamaha should certainly take the consequence that the DGX-670 is about to become their best-selling model, and make more Adaptive styles; and they should also make these available for other models.
Incidentally, Korg has created something similar for all internal styles on the Pa5X, as Variations have increasing velocity from Variation1 to 4, and the same has Fills.
